Our Process

TäW Technologies can work with your company to advance a concept into a producible product.

Upon engagement with TäW, a Program Manager will be assigned for your project. A standard design and development will be opened for you (online) to monitor and review progress on your project. Physical reviews are also encouraged, especially at the stage gate reporting points or when a prototype has been finished.

Generally a TäW representative will meet with you after signing appropriate NDAs and any other confidentiality papers. This exploratory stage is to determine the fit between the companies – and if the scope and timing is mutually agreeable.

Ideation

Tools to bring out creativity.

The ideation process is open ended and generates many target ‘ideas’ and approaches to the opportunity. Once both parties agree to the approach, then the next stage (Project Goals) begins.

Project Goals

What does success look like.

Project goals are functional, financial, IP protection, targeted suppliers, and timing.

Development

Concepts / Prototypes / Animations / Engineering

Development takes the longest of the gate operations. This really is the core of the design - and progress is updated through the online customer porthole. Meeting, phone calls and other traditional means of interface are supported as well.

Refine/Prove

Prototype evaluation /
test / refinement

Refinement and proof-of-concept is the next phase. This could be computer simulation, physical modeling, supplier involvement, process improvements, electronics and software, new materials, coatings and fasteners. This step is to give confidence that the solution meets the goals outlined in the second stage.

Production

Arrange with Suppliers

Finally, production is sourcing the components (if the customer so desires) and arranging all transportation and logistics to plug in the new product into the company’s mix.
